Pro-rating recurring charges

The application will pro-rate the subscription charge from the beginning of the billing cycle to the expiry date of the old subscription, and again from the effective date of the new subscription to the end of the billing cycle. If you want the subscriptions to exactly match the billing cycle, you should terminate the old subscription on the current billing cycle end date (February 28th) and start the new subscription on the following billing cycle start date (March 1st).

Typically, though, if the subscription takes effect on February 7th (for instance), you would terminate the old subscription as of the previous day, February 6th, and start the new subscription effective February 7th. The next bill will show a credit of 22/28 days at the rate of the old subscription, a charge of 22/28 days at the rate of the new subscription, plus a full month at the new subscription rate (March 1st-31st), assuming that you are billing in advance.
